Discussion Lists
There are several mailing lists devoted to issues of security and
payment for the Web.

Protocol Proposals
There are several authentication and encryption protocols proposed or
under development. These are not complete payment solutions, but
provide useful functions (like authentication) for implementing
payment systems.
Secure HTTP
Secure HTTP is an extension to HTTP that provides for
communication and transaction security for the Web.
PGP HTTP
While not widely used, the Mosaic and HTTP server distributions
from NCSA include support for encrypting HTTP exchanges with
PGP.
Shen
This security proposal from CERN supports authentication and
encryption of HTTP connections.
